The islands of the Seychelles, nearly 1000 miles off the eastern coast of Africa, are scattered across the Indian Ocean like a string of diamonds.
The Republic of the Seychelles comprises 115 islands, occupies a land area of 176 square miles, and is an archipelago of legendary beauty that extends from 4 to 10 degrees south of the equator. Of the 115 islands that make up the archipelago, 41 constitute the oldest mid-oceanic granite islands on earth while the other 74 form the low-lying coral atolls and reef islands of the Outer Islands.
The Seychelles’ enviable climate is always warm and without extremes. In this tropical haven the temperature seldom drops below 75°F or rises above 90°F. All but the remotest southern islands lie comfortably outside the cyclone belt making the Seychelles a year round destination for sun worshippers and beach lovers.

waters home to more than a thousand species of fish – is an “El Dorado” to divers and snorkelers. Walk among hundreds of nesting birds on Bird Island and touch the giant tortoises on many of the bucolic granite islands.
The cycling tour will lead you from secluded beaches to protected nature preserves, to the home of local artists with numerous stops along the way to savor the delicious and creative delicacies that make up the local cuisine. There will be walking tours and opportunities to dive and snorkel as you sail among the islands.
Your home away from home while in the Seychelles will be the SY Sea Star, a 3-masted 138 foot yacht. Commissioned in 2002, the yacht has been outfitted cruise-ship style with spacious air conditioned cabins with showers and toilets, wide decks for relaxing, saloons that double as restaurants, and bars for enjoying a cocktail with friends. A platform connected to the stern ensures of entry and exit from the water.
