Our 31st Season!
Bike Thailand Adventure Thailand / June 15-July 1, 2009

Cycling Thailand will prove to be as adventurous, thrilling, and action-packed as was last year’s Hanoi to Saigon Cycling Tour. We are now offering a spectacular 17 day cycle tour of Thailand that will allow you to experience this tropical nation from the busy metropolis of Bangkok to the Golden Triangle where Thailand and Laos meet.
Along the way we will be staying in finely appointed hotels chosen for their uniqueness and high level of service. Cycling will not be our only mode of transportation. We will ride the Thai Burma Railway hearing the story of the POW’s in World War II who were forced to endure unimaginable hardship to construct the bridge over the River Kwai. There will be boat rides and a very special day of easy kayaking. Near the Golden Triangle we will ride elephants, which are central to the Thai culture and transportation.
The journey will begin in Bangkok, a city that lives on its own internal energy. We will have two days to explore its soul and embrace its culture while we ride our bikes around the quiet back lanes of Thonburi, visit the ancient temples of Ayyuthaya, the former capital, and cruise down the Chao Phraya River. There still will be time to catch up on shopping, relax by the pool, or try a Thai massage.

A travel day has us flying from Bangkok to Chiang Rai where we will reside for four nights at the unforgettable Anantara Resort. A highlight will be a visit to the Golden Triangle. Anantara comes with its own elephants ready to transport us across the countryside. The resort provides all the amenities for relaxing comfort after our “adventures.”
Next, we fly to Krabi where the cosmopolitan area of Ao Nang will be our home. Krabi is known for its pristine beaches and limestone karsts. We will cycle a portion of three days, along with a speed boat ride to Bamboo, Ley, and Don, some of the surrounding islands. There will be time to comb the beaches, relax by the pool, and absorb the places you have seen and experienced while on a Thailand adventure of a lifetime.
Those continuing on the fabulous post-trip will fly from Phuket to Bangkok to a connecting flight to Siem Reap.
