Our 31st Season!
Ski Bormio / St. Moritz / Italy and Switzerland / Jan. 10-25, 2009

Come along as we travel to the Old World for the exciting skiing and glamorous ambience of Italy and Switzerland!
We’ll start with a week in Bormio, located in Italy’s Lombardy region, where first-century Roman aristocrats delighted in the mountain scenery and thermal baths which are still in use today. Fortunately for us, the area also has developed into a large ski resort since then, known for one of the biggest vertical drops in Europe and long descents of up to 8.7 miles from the top all the way down to the resort. Challenge yourself on the Pista Stelvio, used for the men’s World Cup competition runs! Our private guides for this week will also accompany us on trips to other area resorts, including Livigno and Santa Caterina. If you want a day off, our passes allow entrance to several of the thermal baths and spas in the town so you can relax like the Romans for a day. At our hotel, the family-run Hotel Baita dei Pini, we’ll be treated nightly to mouth-watering regional dishes such as risotto and osso buco. There’s plenty of festive atmosphere to soak up at the weekly town bonfire or in one of the many café’s and bars in this beautifully preserved medieval village.
Next we move on to St. Moritz, Switzerland, via the famous Bernina Pass (road conditions permitting). We’ll stay at the elegant Crystal Hotel in the center of town. This is the ideal location for enjoying all that the world’s oldest winter resort has to offer. We’ll have six days of private guided skiing on the famous “champagne powder” at Corvatsch and Corviglia, with the possibility of going to Diavolezza and other areas included in our ski pass. After skiing, we’ll have the chance to swim in the town’s indoor pools, relax at the Crystal Wellfit spa, or browse in designer shops where the rich and famous can be spotted. In addition to winter golf and horse racing on the frozen lake or a class in igloo building, there’s the chance to see a bobsled race since St. Moritz has the world’s only natural ice bobsled run. If you’re brave enough, you can take a bobsled “Taxi” with a professional driver!
Our trip ends with a night in central Milan and a farewell dinner where we’ll savor the last meal of this memorable trip together.
