PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DETAILS ABOUT IMPORTANT CHANGES AND/OR CLARIFICATIONS IN THESE AREAS:

ABOUT OUR LODGING

Depending on the type of trip, our hotels range from good to luxury. They may be slope side or may require a short walk or a short bus ride. On non-skiing trips, we typically use small hotels and inns. Room sizes can vary greatly. Prices are based on double occupancy, and we will make every attempt to match you with a roommate if you ask for one. On most trips, if you pay your deposit more than 120 days prior to a trip and wish to share a room, you will only be required to pay half the single supplement fee in the event we are unable to find you a roommate. If you make a reservation within 120 days of a trip, and a roommate is not available, you will be charged the entire single supplement fee. If a roommate becomes available, both travelers will have their single supplement fees refunded. Exceptions apply, please see individual trip descriptions. Single supplements are available on many trips. If you prefer to have a private room, you must pay the single supplement fee. Payment of the single supplement fee does not guarantee, nor imply, the availability of a room equal in size to a room for multiple occupants. There are limited numbers of single rooms available. Hotels usually charge the same amount for a room, whether one or two people occupy it. Therefore, a reserved single room is generally the same price as a room for two (who split the cost). Generally, the single supplement charge is the other half of the room cost not covered in the trip price. An exception to this is in Europe, where some single-bedded rooms are available at a lower price than double rooms. Be aware, however, that these single-bedded rooms are usually very small. OTHGI has very few members who smoke. We ask those who smoke to take a single supplement. We request non-smoking rooms wherever possible; most hotels are now completely non-smoking.

DEPOSIT / CANCELLATION POLICIES

DEPOSIT POLICIES

Deposits must be paid at the time you submit your Trip Application in order to hold space on your chosen trip(s). Trip Applications can be completed and deposits can be paid on our secure web site, www.othgi.com. Trip applications and deposits can also be sent by fax or mail. Send your application by mail along with a check for the deposit, or fax your completed application along with credit card details to hold space on the trip.

CANCELLATION PENALTIES

Due to penalties imposed by our hotels and suppliers, we must strictly adhere to our cancellation fee schedule. Please note all cancellation fees are per person and are based on the date written requests are received in OTHGI offices. Please notify us in writing as soon as possible if you must cancel. Lodging and other reservation penalties are substantial, so we cannot make exceptions to the cancellation penalties for any reason, including, but not limited to, weather, illness, or injury. We are unable to make partial refunds for arriving late or leaving a trip early for any reason, or for any unused portion of the trip.

If you wish to change a reservation from one trip to another, there will be a trip transfer fee of $100 per person.
